Special Note to Our Visitors
NO PETS ALLOWED AT SHAKER VILLAGE
NO PETS ALLOWED AT SHAKER VILLAGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEPT FOR SERVICE DOGS: NOT IN A VEHICLE, NOT ON A LEASH, NOT ON HIKES, Etc.
Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village is an active community of Shakers and a working farm. To protect our home farm livestock of Scottish Highland cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats, no pets are allowed on the Shaker Village grounds. Also, keeping any pet but especially dogs in a vehicle is potentially extremely harmful to the pet and can be fatal - open windows do not help enough to stop harm to a pet. Pets can be frightening to some visitors. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We do appreciate your cooperation and your understanding.
